The Agricenex Platform is an integrated agricultural technology platform that combines advanced water treatment, soil regeneration, digital monitoring and agronomic support to improve irrigation water quality, soil health and overall production efficiency.

Developed through more than 20 years of practical on-farm experience, the Agricenex Platform differs from conventional water treatment systems and standalone agricultural products by combining three integrated solutions: the Agricenex Hardware System, the Agricenex Plus Product Range, and the Agricenex Intelligent Central Management System (ICMS). Together, these integrated solutions improve irrigation water quality, soil performance and operational management.

Agricenex System

The Agricenex System is an infrastructure-integrated inline water treatment platform that applies an Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) with a controlled peroxide dosage to improve irrigation water quality. It integrates seamlessly with existing irrigation systems and combines scalable hardware with intelligent monitoring to deliver reliable, long-term performance.

The Agricenex ICMS is an AI-enabled monitoring and management platform that provides real-time information, reporting and decision-support tools to help farmers optimise system performance and manage their operations more effectively.

The platform is accessible through WhatsApp, a web portal and email, allowing users to monitor system performance and receive information from virtually anywhere.

Depending on the installation and available data, the ICMS can provide real-time system monitoring, diagnostics, irrigation water quality trends, reporting, operational insights and alerts to support informed decision-making.

Yes. The platform continuously monitors system performance and can generate automated alerts and diagnostic information, helping to identify potential issues early and reduce unnecessary downtime.

No. The ICMS is designed as a central management platform that can support water management, operational reporting, knowledge sharing, communication and business management functions, creating a more connected farming operation.

Agricenex Plus

Agricenex Plus is a range of proprietary granule and soluble water conditioning products developed to support healthier soil conditions and improve irrigation performance. It is designed to work in synergy with the Agricenex System as part of the complete Agricenex Platform.

Agricenex Plus is continuously dosed through the irrigation system during normal irrigation, allowing it to condition the irrigation water and support healthier soil conditions throughout the growing season.

Agricenex Plus helps improve soil structure and aggregation, enhances aeration and porosity, supports healthier root development, improves nutrient availability and uptake, helps condition challenging irrigation water, and promotes long-term soil resilience.

Yes. Agricenex Plus can be used independently to improve irrigation water and soil conditions. However, optimum performance is achieved when it is used together with the Agricenex System as part of the complete Agricenex Platform.

Continuous dosing conditions the irrigation water during every irrigation cycle, providing consistent support for soil health, irrigation water quality and nutrient efficiency instead of relying on occasional corrective treatments.

Financial

Yes. The Agricenex Platform is an investment in agricultural infrastructure designed to deliver long-term operational, agronomic and financial benefits. The hardware component may also qualify for capital allowances or depreciation for tax purposes, subject to applicable tax legislation and the purchaser's individual tax circumstances.

Yes. Depending on the market and applicable terms, Agricenex may offer approved financing solutions to assist customers with acquiring the platform.

Return on investment is typically realised through a combination of operational improvements, including: improved irrigation water quality, increased operational efficiency, reduced irrigation system maintenance, better utilisation of fertilisers and other agricultural inputs, improved water-use efficiency, reduced need for corrective soil treatments, enhanced production potential, and lower operating costs over time.

The cost per hectare depends on the size of the irrigation system and the area being serviced. Because each Agricenex System is designed to treat large irrigation volumes, the capital cost is spread across many hectares, making the investment highly cost-effective on a per-hectare basis.

Irrigation Water Quality

The Agricenex Platform is designed to help manage common irrigation water quality challenges, including excess salts, sodium, carbonates, bicarbonates, iron and manganese. These water quality issues can gradually affect soil health, irrigation efficiency and crop performance if left unmanaged.

Irrigation water does more than supply moisture. Its chemical composition influences soil structure, nutrient availability and the long-term productivity of the soil. Even water that appears clean can contain dissolved minerals that create ongoing challenges.

No. While pH is important, it is only one aspect of water quality. Salinity, sodium, calcium, magnesium, carbonates, bicarbonates and dissolved metals also play a significant role in determining how irrigation water performs.

Osmotic Stress & Soil Compaction

Osmotic stress occurs when excess salts in the soil make it more difficult for plants to absorb water. Even when the soil contains adequate moisture, plants must use more energy to take up water, which can reduce plant health, growth and overall productivity.

High sodium levels cause clay particles to disperse rather than bind together into stable soil aggregates. This weakens soil structure, resulting in compaction, surface sealing, reduced water infiltration and poor drainage over time.

Compacted soils restrict root development, reduce oxygen availability and limit the movement of water and nutrients through the soil. This can reduce plant vigour and make irrigation and fertiliser programmes less effective.

Soil Health Decline & Nutrient Lock-Up

Nutrient lock-up occurs when essential nutrients are present in the soil but are chemically unavailable for plant uptake. As a result, crops may show nutrient deficiency symptoms even when adequate nutrients are present.

Roots need both water and oxygen to function properly. Healthy soils contain pore spaces filled with both air and water, allowing roots and beneficial soil microorganisms to grow, absorb nutrients and support healthy plant development.

Poor soil structure reduces water infiltration, drainage and oxygen movement through the soil. This can restrict root development, reduce biological activity, limit nutrient availability and uptake, and ultimately reduce crop performance.
